Three years have elapsed since the release of 'Volume 1', and in the interim period Michael Sexton and his band have continued to thrill set-dancers and audiences all over Ireland, Britain and The United States.
1998 saw the band travel to Spain for first ever Fleadh Espana, where, as with every venue, they seized dancers with the lively, pulsating dance rhythm for which they are renowned.
This new collection of music from the 'Michael Sexton Ceili Band' reflects the maturity and experience of six musicians who, since their inception in 1992, have continued to discover new and innovative ways to inspire the dancer. The result of this process is the creation of a distinctive sound concept which resonates with old rhythms and style, brushed lightly with contemporary tunes and techniques.
'MAD TO DANCE' is a breath-taking compilation of music which will sweep the feet of even the most discerning musical and 'set' dancing tastes. It is an illustration of all that is great in both past and present Clare dance music.
